This initial examination will assess the development of your child’s mouth, provide you with a complete preventative dental program, provide advice about nutrition and will inform you on how to avoid possible problems.

After this initial exam, a second appointment should be scheduled for children at 2.5 to 3 years of age, and a third appointment at 3.5 to 4 years of age. After this, appointments should be scheduled 1-2 times per year.
